Circle of Friends Preschool
Our well-established and maintained childcare center has been at a beautiful location in the City of Sarasota, Florida for many years. Circle of Friends is open to any child two to five years old. The school is abundantly surrounded by trees, offering the children well equipped and safe playground areas with natural shade. We are the only preschool in Florida to have a licensed National Playground inspector (NPPS) as part of our administration. Since May 2004, the new owners Claudia and Jeffrey Drimmer, have continually qualified Circle of Friends Preschool for the NAEYC Accreditation (National Association for the Education of Young Children). COF was one of the first early childhood programs in the nation to earn this accreditation in the new more comprehensive accreditation system. We strive in offering a safe environment, quality teaching with a well experienced staff, and educational programs with a low ratio of students to teachers. The children are in a warm and friendly environment where they are helped to develop strong thinking skills based on their interests. We offer 2-5 day programs, half and full day throughout the school year, as well as special summer programs. We are constantly improving our school, and in 2009 we added a Promethean ActivBoard in our Manatee/ VPK classroom to help teachers innovate in the classroom.

"Friends"
A red haired 4-year old girl gazed into the sky.
A yellow-breasted bird sat on a branch nearby.
The little girl asked the bird,
"Tell me where you are from?"
The bird looked into her blue eyes
and pretended not to understand.
The little girl talked to the bird again,
"Hi, I'm Bea, so where are you from?"
The bird flapped her wings and proudly replied,
"I'm from the same place where you are from."
Bea smiled as the bird came closer.
"So let us be friends!"
